I wanted to express my gratitude to you and all of the developers over
at puppylinux for bringing puppylinux to this level of function and
form ; it truly is a work of excellence. It is the first Linux of many
that I've tried across a couple of platforms, that delivers the goods
and works the way an end user would expect on any system. I've even
had Shard cutdown version running on a Toshiba Libretto 50ct with a
Pentium II 75MHX 32mb of memory.
Now that I use it on my laptop, I am astounded by it's speed and
beauty. Thanks also for adding in all the packages that you so
tastefully have integrated.
What a wonderful distro - goodbye to all others including Debian and
PCLinuxOS - which are great in their own right but no where near as
accessable and beautiful as Tmxxine Shard. Even the puppy forums are
more friendly.
Many Congrats and Thanks Again!
Vito

previous version of Shard based on Puppy 2.17
Another Shard Another Glint
OK
Tmxxine Prism has loads of programs . . . but really I don't use them
So I thought, 'what do I use?' . . . and installed only those programs on top of NOP 3.01
Xfce is a lovely interface for Puppy
NOP∞ is based on Puppy 3.01 and is small, light and gorgeous
Linux Tmxxine Shard 3.01 is 155MB and adds a word processor, Geany text editor and graphic programs
to run in 256MB or more of Ram
Much to my surprise I do not use OpenOffice very much
Info further down shows how to add OpenOffice to Shard - so it is still easily available
Xara I use all the time for DTP and creating images and artwork
I have been using it right back from when it was in Beta on Windows
I Love it. Xara Xtreme was originally designed for the Archimedes RISC based computer
T run Xara select
run program and type xaralx (does not work from menu)
Gimp is in again
It is my
personal Tmxxine Shard. Hope you enjoy :)
